EXPERIENCE
Prior to working at SOM in Los Angeles, I was fortunate to work at a large range of design scales both around the US and abroad. During my undergrad, I interned in Seoul, South Korea, which allowed me to work collaboratively in an international setting and strengthened my ability to visually communicate. I have additionally worked with various teams across Iowa, working on public art sculptures, ecology caretaking in rural Iowa, and working at an architecture firm in Des Moines.
Along with my architecture studies, I completed a secondary major of environmental studies which has given me a strong foundation in technical environmental systems and has informed much of my research and projects.
While at Iowa State, I was heavily involved in the Student Journal of Architecture called "DATUM" and was an editor, graphics team lead, and contributor for three publications. Being involved in Datum allowed me to further pursue my interests in architectural research and writing while continuously learning from my peers in a collaborative environment.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
My interests expand beyond space making and I enjoy putting effort into anything that deepens my understanding of our built and unbuilt landscapes and their impact on human and non human relationships. My research includes sustainable material applications, ecology caretaking, quarry and mine reclamation/ restoration, and digital fabrication.
